Dorothy W. Acuff age 86 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Alcoa. Preceded in death by: Parents, Frank & Elizabeth Acuff; Son, Randall Acuff. Survivors include: Husband of 57 years, Award wining fiddler Charlie Acuff; Son, Boyd Acuff of Alcoa; Son & Daughter-in-law, Gordon & Shirley Acuff of Maryville; Grandchildren, Miranda Acuff, Ryan & Laura Acuff, Donna Sokoll, Lisa Lee, and Janie Nash; Great-Grandchildren, Ashley & Autum Nash and Cody Sokoll; Sister, Mary Nola Callison of Winston Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews; Special friend, Bess Bivens of Alcoa. Funeral service will be at 6:30 PM, Friday, July 6, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Herman Faddis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment.
