Donovan Rex Dunn

Donovan Rex Dunn, age 83 of Maryville, TN passed away on February 24, 2023 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1939 to Haskell and Minnie Dunn. Rex was a 22 year Navy veteran and was also retired from Carboloy. He was an avid reader and history buff, loved channel surfing on the T.V. just to aggravate his wife Brenda. Rex attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Thomas Dunn and Murrell Dunn of Oak Ridge and one sister, Carolyn Dunn Potter.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Brenda Campbell Dunn; daughters, Belinda Abbott (Jerry), Kelly Erskine (David); son, Scottie Dunn (Pam) of Knoxville; granddaughter, Kristi Abbott Smart (Jordan) of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Kate-Lynn, and Lillian; sister, Clara Lee Dunn of Maryville; sisters-in-law, Linda Moles, Maxine Dunn, and Anita Dunn; several nieces and nephews.  The family will welcome friends on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Smith’s Trinity Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM officiated by Rev.
