Donald Lynn Yates

Donald Lynn Yates, age 75 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 23, 1947 in Blount County. Don served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era as a Tank Commander, training troops on the Sheridan tank to go to Vietnam. After his service he became a 30-year member of the 669 - 709 Pipefitters Union.  

Anyone that knew Don knew his passion for muscle cars and motorcycles. He is preceded in death by Father, Kenneth Yates; Mother, Cameca Headrick Yates; Daughter, Danielle Yates. 

He is survived by Brother, Larry Yates; Children, Donna Clark (Kenneth), Jayme Yates (Jory), Zack Yates (Taylor); Grandchildren, Amber, Ella, Jace, Runa. Family and friends will assemble Friday, July 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM for Graveside Service and Interment at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E.
