Donald Tharpe

Tharpe, Donald E. "Don" age 69 of Maryville passed away suddenly Monday, January 29, 2007 at his home. He was a member of Maryville First Church of the Nazarene. He retired from Fed Ex with 27 years of service. Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Caylor Tharpe; parents, Frank and Ethel Tharp; sister, Vonda Epperson. Survivors include sisters, Carolyn Parker, Juanita Camper, and Marilyn Parker; brothers, Doyle Tharp and Lawrence Tharp; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Brooks; special friends, Patrick Pearson, Steve Silence, Gary Dennis, Marvin Lonas, Earl Poplin, and Pastor Ray Couey. He will be missed by all his nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ray Couey officiating. Entombment will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2007 at Grandview Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
