Donald A. Laughter

Donald Laughter, age 72 of Maryville passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at home. He was a contractor and housing inspector for many years. Donald was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had been very active especially with the youth. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp. Donald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Henry & Roxie Laughter; Sons, Donald Laughter Jr. and Michael Laughter; Brothers, Andy Laughter, Donald Laughter, Vivian Laughter, Frank Laughter, J.C. Laughter, Edmon Laughter, and Ray Laughter; Sisters, Gladys Baker, Cora Mullis, Dorothy Correll, Helen Foard, and Jackie Steen. Survivors include: Wife, Brenda Laughter; Sons, David Andrew Laughter and Daniel Henry Laughter; Grandchildren, Ashley Laughter and Richard Laughter; Sister, Ailene Friday. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Long officiating.
