Donald Gene Lambert, Sr.

Donald Gene Lambert Sr., age 92 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his home. Donald was a long-time member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and Madison Avenue Baptist Church and a Deacon for much of his church membership. He served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. Donald worked at Park National Bank in Knoxville, TN for over 20 years and then worked for the FDIC as an Assessment Auditor for the remainder of his career.  He was an avid wood worker, operated Peach Orchard in Louisville, and loved growing muscadines for jelly. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. “Betty” Lambert; son, Skip Lambert; brothers, Floyd Lambert, Glen Lambert, Buddy Lambert; sisters, Wanda Whetsell, Lois Fletcher. Survived by son, Joe lambert (Kina); grandchildren, Luke Lambert, Sarah Lambert, Olivia McClain, Devin Deming, Dane Deming; brothers, Harold Lambert, David Lambert (Peggy); sister, Peggy Buroughs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Chilhowee Baptist Center, 1905 E Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2023 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Greg Heisler officiating.
