Donald D. Knight

Donald D. Knight age 84 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the family home after a battle with cancer. He was the founder of Knight's Flowers of Lake City, LaFollette, and Clinton, TN. He served in the Marine Corp during World War II and fought at Guadalcanal. Preceded in death by: 1st Wife, Violet Knight. Survivors include: Loving wife, Bobbie Knight. Donald was her caregiver for 8 years. Son, Dean Knight of Clinton; Daughter, Jane Beth Hansen of VA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Norrisa & Bobby Cullum of MS; Grandchildren, Eric Hansen, Brandon & Christopher Cullum; Brother, Wilburn Knight of MI; Nieces, Carolyn Blevins, Nancy Ellen Harper, Rose Mary Weaver; Nephew, Ray DeArmond; Special friends and neighbors, Jack & Fran Murphy. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice for all their support. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Bill Blevins officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 27, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
