Donald Howard Garner

Donald “Donnie” Howard Garner age 55 passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital and entered Eternal Peace and Devine Healing on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. He was a very well loved and known Barber for over 14 years with his dad, James Garner, at Garner’s Barber Shop. He was very active at his church, the Good News Center Church in Friendsville. He never met a stranger, everyone to him was a buddy or friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Garner and Lavon Garner (Shuler). He leaves behind his wife of over 23 years, Sammie Garner (Poe) whom he loved dearly; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Wayne Stephenson; a niece and her husband, Christy and Mark Williams; and a nephew and wife, Timmy and Gina Stephenson; 2 great nieces, Oliva and Lila Stephenson; several aunts and uncles and a host of friends and his special pet Brutus! The receiving of family and friends will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM. Service will follow at 5:00 PM with Rev. Scott Potter officiating.
