Donald Galbraith

Donald Galbraith, age 81 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at home. Born in Detroit, Michigan January 25, 1942 to John and Phyliss Galbraith. Graduated from Redford High School in Detroit. After attending college for one year he joined the United States Air Force. Later settled in Knoxville, TN. Don is retired from the United States Air Force and Bell South. He enjoyed camping and traveling with many friends in K-Town Sams Camping Club. Don was active in his church, Alcoa Methodist Church. He also did volunteer work with his wife at Asbury Assisted Living and Blount Memorial Hospital. He leaves his devoted wife, Debra; sons, Steve, John and wife, Kelli, Jim and wife, Lupe; granddaughters, Jordan and Jenna; grandsons, Ari; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Dianne; nephew, Jeff; niece, Kimela of Oregon; special “sister”, Mary Bell. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Alcoa Methodist Church. Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Joe Green officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
