Don Spangler

Don Spangler age 67 of Maryville, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at home. He graduated from the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He was an officer in the United States Army. Don retired with 21 years of service from Mercury Marine. He was an avid gardener, talented wood worker, and enjoyed the game of golf. He was a loving son, husband, and father and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Father, Elmo Spangler; Sister, Linda Garber. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 41 years, Carol Spangler; Son, Clayton Spangler; Mother, Margaret Spangler. Memorial service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
