Don Allen Giles

Don Allen Giles, age 79 of Maryville, passed away Sunday morning, October 6, 2019, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was a 1958 graduate of Everett High School and Draughons Business College. He was owner and operator of G & G Motors until he retired in 1998. Don was a gentleman in every sense of the word. His greatest joy was witnessing the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. He truly loved being around his family and will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Gladys Giles; sister, Gwen Cook. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 56 years, Betty (Austin); son, Michael Giles (Rosanna); daughter, Donna Hammonds (David); grandchildren, Andrew and Jake Giles, Katie, Mattie, and Ellie Hammonds. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. James D. Proffitt, Dr. Jane Souther, and Dr. Thea Cross for their kind and compassionate care. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. David Hammonds officiating.
