Dixie May Walker

Dixie May Walker, age 97 of Walland, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a member of West Millers Cove Baptist Church. Dixie was born in Cades Cove and worked for Oak Ridge during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Dan and Iva Myers; 4 sisters; 5 brothers; son, Rodney Max Walker. Survived by husband of 76 years, William Max Walker; son and daughter-in-law, Spencer and Melony Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Wendee and Randy Ball; daughter-in-law, Dannie Walker; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jimmy Webb officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Friday, November 18, 2022 at West Millers Cove Cemetery.
