Derek Nuchols

Nuchols, Derek Channing, our beloved son and brother, age 24, of Maryville, died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Derek had a free-spirit and a loving heart for life and all of his friends, and a special love for basketball. He was employed at Applebee's restaurant as a cook. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clark and Dorothy Wilcox; great-grandparents, Andy and Margaret Nuchols and Wade Keller; great uncle, George Black; He is survived by his parents, Ronnie E. and Dorie Nuchols of Maryville; sisters, Alisha and Bridget Nuchols; grandparents, Bill and Della Mae Nuchols; great-grandmother, Gertie Keller; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends including; Brandon Ion, Bo Baker, and John Ball; Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Pastor Brad Bryant officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
