Dennis Wayne Stapleton, Sr.

Dennis W. Stapleton, Sr. age 70 of Maryville passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015. He retired from the United States Air Force with 21 years of service where he trained pilots. Dennis was an Electronics Tech at the Knoxville Post Office. He was a most generous and loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed gardening. Preceded in death by: Father, Charlie Stapleton. Survivors include: Wife of 50 years, Phyllis A. Stapleton; Sons, Dennis Wayne Stapleton, Jr. and Keith Patrick Stapleton & wife Patty; Grandchildren, Dennis Wayne Stapleton, III, Matthew Aaron Stapleton, Emily Autumn Stapleton, Madison LouAnn Stapleton, Elizabeth Kendal Stapleton, and Emma Katie Stapleton; Mother, Gladys Ruth Stapleton; Brother & Sister-in-law, Charles F. Stapleton, Jr. & Loretta; Sister, Patricia Hall; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be at 7:30 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
