Dennis Tipton Livesay, age 78, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born February 7, 1934 in Sneedville, Tennessee. He graduated from Hancock County High School in 1952 and was a graduate of the Northrop Institute of Technology of Los Angeles. Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force and Tennessee Air National Guard. He loved his country, his family and his many friends. He loved to travel and sing karaoke. Preceded in death by: Parents, Prior Tipton "Tip" Livesay & Mary Campbell Livesay; Sisters, Nell Greene and Ruth Brewer; Twin Brother, Douglas Boyd Livesay. Survivors include: His Loving Wife of 46 years, Eileen Krogh Livesay; Sisters, Katie Berdolt and Lois Eddleman; Daughter, Marilyn Livesay; Son & Daughter-in-law, Doug and Margaret Livesay; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kristi & Kurt Akamine; five grandchildren, Marlon Livesay Yates, Hayden & Hayley Livesay, and Erin & Ezra Akamine; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service & inurnment with military honors at 1:30 PM, Monday, October 15, 2012 at Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery, 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville with a military chaplain and Fr. Bill McNeeley officiating.
