Della Mae Nuchols

Della Mae Keller Nuchols, age 79, of Maryville went to be with The Lord June 14, 2016. Della was devoted to her family and friends and was loved by everyone that met her. She loved Maryville High School Football, Tennessee Vols football, and the Lady Vols. She loved to be at the ballparks watching her children and grandchildren play softball. . She was one of the first women to be inducted into the Blount County Sports Hall of Fame. She was retired from Blount Memorial Hospital after 32 years in the Dietary Department. Della will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Della is preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Gertie Kieller, Sister Darlene Keller Payne, and grandson, Derek Channing Nuchols. Survived by husband, Bill Nuchols; daughters, Linda McGeorge of Maryville, Sharon (Ronnie) Holman of Hendersonville, TN, Sons, Bo (Susan) Nuchols, Ronnie (Dorie) Nuchols of Maryville; sisters, Faye Wilhoite of Smyrna, GA, Marie (Jim) Pierce, brother Wayne (Kathy) Keller, both of Maryville; Grandchildren, Candy (Michael) Fagg, Tonya (Buddy) Wilburn, Alisha (Matt) Huling, Bridget (Michael) Long, Chelsey (Tanner) Caylor, Matthew (Heather) Thompson, all of Maryville, Rondalyn Wauford of Castilian Springs, Justin (Stephanie) Homan of Portland, TN, and Ronnie Holman Jr. of Red Boiling Springs, TN. 11 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews, other family, and her precious dog Peanut. A Celebration of Della’s Life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Pastor’s Brad Bryant and Bob Nuchols officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Russell Cemetery for the Interment.
