Delight Everett

Delight Everett, age 91 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Brookdale Assisted Living Center.  Delight was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She was very active in her husband’s ministry and Sunday School classes and enjoyed working with youth programs.  Delight loved country music and often traveled to Nashville working with country music singers.  She retired from Bellsouth after many years of service.  Preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Nancy Wright; Husband of 74 years, R. M. Everett; Son, Alan Everett and Daughter, Angela Everett;  Sister, Gaynell Sloan and Brother, Gordan Wright;   Survived by Sister and Brother-in-law, Lorene and John Caughron; Sister-in-law, Janice Wright; Several Nieces and Nephews.   Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the Graveside Service and Interment with Pastor Doug Hayes officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be considered to Everett Hills Baptist, 401 S Everett High Rd, Maryville, TN 37804.  Condolences may be shared through Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com
