Delbart M. Williams, 82 of Friendsville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Delbart retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force with 24 years of service. He then retired from Schlegel/BTR after 14 years where he was known by many as “Sarge.�? Mr. Williams was an accomplished artist and musician. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Preceded in death by: Parents, Willard & Reva (McKinley) Williams; two brothers; Father & Mother-in-law, Edwin & Delcia (Scott) Garmon; three infant sons and infant daughter. Survivors include: Loving & Devoted Wife of 62 years, Virginia “Ginny�? (Garmon) Williams; Daughter, Donna Jackson; Daughter & Son-in-law, Melissa (Williams) & Craig Neubert; Grandchildren, Scott & Heidi (Stubelt) Groover, Jeff & Amanda (McPhone) Groover, Rebecca (Groover) Russell, Megan, Lily & Ashley Neubert; Four Great-Grandchildren; Sister, Pam (Williams) Missel of Streator, IL; Sister-in-law, Nelda (Garmon) Armstrong; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Craig Neubert and Rev. Adrian Jones officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church Missions Fund, 536 Blockhouse Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
