David M. Payne

Payne, David Martin, 72, of Townsend, TN passed away Monday, July 3, 2006 at home. He was a long-time member of Bartlett Baptist Church, Bartlett, TN and Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, Townsend, TN. David retired from Delta Airlines after 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Martin Payne; parents, Charles Sr. and Lucinda Payne; brothers, Charles Payne, Jr., John Payne, Bill Payne, Bob Payne, Jim Payne, and sister, Barbara Fischer; father-in-law, Roy Sullivan. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 40 years, Judy Sullivan Payne and their daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Earl Kane, and grandson Ian Kane all of Daphne, AL. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Jean Payne; mother-in-law, Betty Sullivan. Special thanks to caregiver Melissa Ramsey. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon Friday, July 7, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ken Abbott and Stuart Albee officiating with entombment to follow at Grandview Mausoleum.
