David Michael Jones

David Michael Jones, age 63 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at his home. David was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville and was retired from Kroger after many years of service. He was an artist who loved painting and working with stained glass. He enjoyed working with our local food pantry and many activities with his church, RIO Townsend. He was a wonderful cook, with his specialties being pies and homemade fudge. He was a loving and devoted father, son, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Preceded in death by son, Joshua Michael Jones; father, James Hubert Jones; brother, Kenneth Jones; survived by daughter and fiancé, Cassandra Jones and David Rivera; mother, Sue Jones; and a host of other family members. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2022 at Smith West Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Dockery and Rev. Ron Hepperly officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 PM for Interment on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
