David Allen Johnson

David Allen Johnson, Sr. age 72 passed away suddenly and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 29, 2010. He attended Tuckaleechee United Methodist and Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Churches, retired from ALCOA, and was a Veteran of the United States Army. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bobbie Johnson; father and mother, Roby and Isa Johnson; brother, Gerald Johnson, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Dot) Johnson; daughter, Kim Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, David Johnson, Jr. and Lisa, Mike Johnson and Debbie; grandchildren, Nolan and Collin Johnson; sister, Shirley Holbert; brother, Terry Johnson and wife, Gayle; special friend, Diane Lawson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Ken Abbott and Elder Jim Cooper officiating. The body will lay in state from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, 7322 Old Tuckaleechee Road, Townsend, TN 37882 or Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Church, Wears Valley Road, Townsend, TN 37882 in memory of David.
