David Ray Compton

David Ray Compton, age 59 of Linden, TN – formerly of Walland, TN - passed away at Tri-Star Centennial Heart Hospital in Nashville, TN on August 3, 2018. David was loved and known by many friends and family to be drinking Mountain Dew, hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin in Perry County with his great and missed dog Drifter. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Curt Compton; brother, Steve Compton; nephew, Shaun Everett; grandparents, Wiley and Rose Compton and W.H. and Blanche Whitehead. He is survived by his step-daughter, Brittany Waulters; sister, Sharon Everett; brother-in-law, Robbie Everett; sister-in-law, Denise Compton; aunts, Mable Whitehead and Betty Compton; nephews, Caleb Compton, Sam Compton, Lee Everett; nieces, Cora Compton, Jodi Hembree, Shelley Thomas; six great-nieces; three great-nephews and his dog, Drifter. Friends may call at their convenience Monday, August 6 and Tuesday, August 7, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
