Daryl Leon Skidmore

Daryl Leon Skidmore age 84 of Maryville was called to his rest Thursday, June 25, 2009. Daryl was a proud father, devoted husband, and loving grandfather. Daryl took great pleasure in his friendships, story telling, and will be especially missed by those listeners of tall tales of the woods in Southern Ohio where he grew up as a boy and young man. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and a Veteran of Military Action during World War II serving in England, France, Belgium and Germany as a Rifleman with the 82nd Airborne Division. Daryl was a retiree of Ford Motor Company. He will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery next to his wife Leona Hurst Skidmore. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery.
