Danny Ray Bryant age 51 of Maryville, TN went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Southern Gospel Music.Race Cars.Hot Dog Stands.tape measures.family, friends.and most importantly the Lord. All of this and so much more described Danny Ray! Danny's heart and mind were a little different than most, but that made him extra-special to all who loved him. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost at an early age at First Apostolic Church in Aurora, IL pastored by his best buddy, Rev. Bill Coltharp. Danny Ray attended and graduated from Hope D. wall School and was a worker at JFK Workshop. Danny later moved to Maryville, TN where he attended First Apostolic Church pastored by his close friend, Rev. Kenny Carpenter, founded by Rev. Jim Arwood who has been a pillar of strength to the Bryant Family. Danny loved the mountains, skipping rocks in the streams and especially Dollywood. Danny was born in Campbellsville, KY on June 11, 1955. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Robert & Cecil Bryant and Alter & Grace Harmon, Uncle Robert and Aunt Elva. He is survived by his wonderful parents, Raymond & Faye Bryant who unfailingly attended him at his bedside during the many months of sickness. Danny Ray (Bubby) is also survived by his siblings - Sheila Jeter & husband Stan, Kim Fye & husband Dick, Mark Bryant & wife Pam, Michael Bryant & wife Tracee and several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services for Danny will be held at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m, Friday, May 25, 2007 and the funeral will be Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Bill Coltharp, Rev. Kenny Carpenter, and Rev. James Arwood will be the officiating ministers. Entombment will follow at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. Danny's family would like to thank Claris Hospice for their many hours of devotion not only to Dan, but to the entire family.
