Danna Carolyn Hammontree

Danna Carolyn (Lawson) Hammontree of Knoxville, originally of Maryville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at home. Carolyn enjoyed traveling to the South West United States, Las Vegas, and Hawaii to watch whales. She enjoyed reading, stimulating conversations, and studying Native American cultures. She also enjoyed the people and time she worked at the Kroger Store in Farragut. Carolyn was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church for many years. Preceded in death by: Former Husband, Wayne Norman Hammontree; Sister, Donna Jean Lawson; Father, Frank A. Lawson; Mother, Edith (Sloan) Lawson; Aunt Velma Roberts. Survivors include: Daughters, Conda “Connie�? Arteaga and Donna Joanell “Jody�? Pierquet & husband Roger; Son, DeWayne Lawson Hammontree; Grandchildren, Lilo Z. Bayati, Justin A. Bayati, and Michael W. Matthews; Great-Grandchild, Brenia Christine Matthews; Brother & Sister-in-law, R. Neil & Phyllis Lawson; Loving Brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.
