Daniel W. Word age 81 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at home. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. after 42 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Preceded in death by: Wife, Ruby Kathleen Word, Parents, Sam Word and Betty Ann Word; Brothers, George, Paul, Tom and Lee; Sisters, Edna & Maude. Survivors include: Son, Daniel Word of Louisville; Daughters, Debbie Heaton and Kim Dotson both of Maryville; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kathy & Steve Lee of Dunlap, TN; 7 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to caregivers Kim Dotson, Bonnie, Frances, and Angela with UT Hospice. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, November 27, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. George Macht officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. Family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, Friday, November 27, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
