Daniel L. Word age 64 of Louisville went home to be with his Father, Jesus, Monday, February 23, 2015. He worked at Alcoa Aluminum Co. as an Electrician for over 40 years. Daniel was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a master carpenter building many houses in the Blount County area. Preceded in death by: Father, Daniel W. Word; Mother, Kathleen Word. Survivors include: Wife, Elena Word; Step-Daughter, Olga Zozulina; Mother-in-law, Nadezhda Koval; Daughter & Son-in-law, Kelly & Chris Brewer; Daughter, Rachel Danielle Word; Son & Daughter-in-law, Joshua & Maranda Word; Grandchildren, Alyson (Pip-squeak) Word; Nichole (Peanut) Jones, Kaela & Christian Brewer; Sisters, Debbie Word Heaton, Kimberly Dotson; Sister & Brother-in-law, Mary Katherine & Steve Lee; Little Brother & Best Friend, Steve Heaton; Nieces, Mikki Gurley, Tori Heaton, Sammy Jo Dotson, Casey Dotson; Nephews, Robbie Heaton & Lynn Gurley; Great-Nieces and Nephews, Kayla, Bryce, Emma, Kelsey, and Emily. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Bruce Marston officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery.
