Daniel Charles Linebaugh

Daniel Charles Linebaugh, age 56, passed away peacefully from this life September 13, 2015. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Daniel fought a courageous battle after being diagnosed in August 2014 with a brain tumor. Daniel was born in Kokomo, Indiana, December 17, 1958, where his father served with the USAF. His family then moved to Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Austin, Texas and Signal Mountain, Tennessee, before settling in a historic home in Louisville, TN on Ft. Loudon Lake. From here Daniel grew to love the outdoors. He loved to water ski and enjoyed boating. He became an avid fisherman and duck hunter, and he loved to call in both ducks and turkeys. Daniel graduated from Maryville High School in 1977. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the early 80's and was a bartender with the Airport Marriott for eight years. Daniel returned to Louisville, TN and began bartending with the officers club at McGhee Tyson. He later began in sales with the Twin City Dealerships in Alcoa, TN, and then worked as a body shop estimator for Twin City Collision and Toyota of Knoxville. Daniel enjoyed coaching football with his son's football team, the Fairview Raiders. Daniel enjoyed life. He loved his family and the Lord. Daniel was an honest and caring man. He had a wonderful smile and a warm heart that touched the lives of many. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Linebaugh. Daniel was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend and is survived by: his daughter, Danielle Linebaugh and close friend Zachry Honea; son, Noah Linebaugh, father, Billy Linebaugh; sisters, Mary Linebaugh and Lisa Linebaugh-Stroupe; favorite niece, Whitney Linebaugh; nephews, Jamison Stroupe (Courtney) and Jeremy Stroupe; grand nephew, Bryson Stroupe; former wife, Penny Green Linebaugh, and in-laws, Regina & Darryl Green, Bobby Green; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friend from Michigan, California, Florida, North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Smithview Pavilion, 601 Smithview Drive, Maryville, TN 37803. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Holston College Cemetery for the inurnment.
