Daniel Byrd

Daniel Byrd, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in WWII. Preceded in death by parents, Dempsy & Julie Byrd; wife, Mary Byrd; sisters, Flossie, Ethel, and Vertia; brother, Thomas Walker Byrd; Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, David and Joyce Byrd; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Chester Farley; five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren; Funeral service and entombment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in the Mausoleum chapel of Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Carl White and Rev. Ken Silvers officiating.
