Dang Xai Lee

Dang Xai Lee – age 64 of Maryville, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 2017 in Blount Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Dang was a retired mechanical engineer from Maremont, a military veteran who served in the army during the Vietnam war, and a devoted member of Foothills Church in Maryville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nhia Blia Lee and Ntxhoo Xiong. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Choua (Joyce) Lee; daughters and son-in-laws, Sarah and Blong Vang of Great Falls, MT, Douachi and Bruce Yang of Sacramento, CA, Kahoua and Jason Hackworth of Charlottesville, VA, Naomi and Jonathan Leichman of Knoxville, TN, and Isabelle Lee of Knoxville, TN; 10 grandchildren from oldest to youngest in each family – Isaiah, Emilee, Ashlee, Kimberlee, Evangeleen, Lilee, Ellee, Avery, Xavier, and Xariah. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 29th and 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th at Smith Funeral and Cremation Services in Maryville, TN. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitations on both days with Pastor Trent Stewart and Dr. Christopher Thao officiating. Graveside service and burial will take place at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 30th.
