Dallas Roger Crusenberry, Sr. age 73 of Townsend passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher. He retired from TVA, was a volunteer at Blount Memorial Hospital, an avid hiker, motorcyclist, and a dancing enthusiast. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Emmett Crusenberry and Mildred Hammed Whaley. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Renee Grow Crusenberry; sons, Roger Crusenberry and wife Teresa, Stacy Crusenberry; daughter, Dolly Compton and husband Gary; step children, Mitchie Welch and wife Patsy, Bonnie Welch, and Michele Welch; 16 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mary Ruth Grow; caregivers, Susie McAlister, Fernetta and Laura Long. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. Due to the weather conditions, the memorial service has been postponed until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, 132 Bethel Church Road, Townsend, TN 37882.
