Dale Ellis Norton

Dale Ellis Norton, age 69 of Maryville, TN passed away on February 20, 2025. He was born and raised in Maryville. He graduated from Maryville High School, and Cleveland State Community College. Dale always loved helicopters and the outdoors. He retired as a Sargent First Class after a 30 plus years career with the Tennessee Army National Guard working with helicopters. Also, he served in Kosovo and Iraq. He was preceded in death by his father J. Ray Norton; mother, Geraldine "Jerry" Raulston Norton; brother, David R. Norton. He is survived by brother, Donald Norton (Dolores); sister, Sharon Young (J.R.); sister, Jeanne Porter (Stephen); brother, Robert "Bobby" Norton (Susan); several nephews, nieces, and great nephews and great nieces; special friends, Jimmy, Glenn, Elsie and Jeanne. We want to thank all the wonderful nurses, caregivers and staff at Morning View Senior Assisted Living, Morning View Memory Care, Gentiva Hospice care nurses and staff and sitters, Pat and Billy. Dale will be laid to rest at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
