Dalbert E. “Gene” Cook age 81 of Maryville passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Tennova North. He was a Past Master of New Providence Masonic Lodge and a longtime member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was a longtime employee with the Blount County Sheriff’s Department. Preceded in death by: 1st Wife, Ruth Cook. Survivors include: Sons, Larry Cook and Tim Cook; 14 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; Brother & Sister-in-law, Jimmy & Gwen Cook; Three Stepsons; Former Wife, Mary. Mason Service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
