Corum Berry

April 25, 1921 — February 26, 2013

Corum Berry of Maryville passed away on February 26, 2013 at the age of 91 and joined his wife Twila in heaven. He was the oldest living member of Brantley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, a native of Sharps Chapel, TN, and a retiree of Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a 50+ member of the Rockford Masonic Lodge and a former president of the Alcoa Retirement Club. During WWII, he served as a Tech Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. Corum was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years Twila Berry, his parents John and Mossie Berry, brother Clifford Berry, sister Genette Beason, son-in-law Rick Steele, and grandson Davis Berry. Survivors include children Adrean Steele of Soddy-Daisy, Archie (Susan) Berry of Knoxville, and Linda (Danny) Graves of Maryville, sister Mamie (Wayne) Brantley, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to nephew David Beason for his care of his "unc". Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday February 28, 2013 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with grandsons Rev. Chris Graves and Rev. Sean Cordell officiating. Entombment will follow at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Daniel Brantley officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Brantley's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 403 McCall Road, Maryville, TN 37804.
