Coba Stanley

Coba Keck Stiner Stanley, age 95 formerly of Claiborne County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at her home. Miss Stanley attended East Maryville Baptist Church and was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She was a passionate quilter who enjoyed designing and making quilts for her family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening. She was born October 10, 1912 in Claiborne County, Tennessee to Marion and Belle (Graves) Keck. Preceded in death by: Husbands, Glen Stiner and Leonard Stanley; Brothers, Londy and Eston Keck; Sisters, Hassie Cole, Suzie Shoffner, Ada Drouillard; Daughter-in-law, Marie Stiner; Sons-in-law, Joe McClanahan and Harris Webb. Her living family consists of: Son, Walter Stiner of Smyrna, GA; Daughters, Mary Stiner Webb and Ruth Stiner Talbott & husband Hoyt all of Maryville; as well as 11 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren who gave her joy. The family wishes to thank Blount Memorial Hospice and a special friend Carolyn Parton for all their help and special care. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, June 20, 2008 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. David Webster and Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
