Clyde W. Irwin

Irwin, Clyde W. age 88 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the family home. He was a member of Clark's Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from the City of Alcoa Water Department. He will be remembered for lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by: Wives, Louise Pierce Irwin and Katherine Thomas Irwin; Parents, R.W. & Bess Irwin; Grandsons, Jerry & Tony Whitehead; Brothers, Sam, Bob, & Kenneth Irwin. Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-law, Nancy & Sam McClanahan on Vonore, Cindy Cline of Atlanta, GA, Caroline & Gerald Whitehead of Ringold, GA, and Joan & Richard Hicks of Louisville; Son and Daughter-in-law, Charles & Harriett Irwin of Maryville; Step-Daughters & Husbands, Freida & Steve Corbett and Pat & Grant Owen; Brother, Ralph Irwin & wife Dee; Sisters, Ruth Burch and Betty Williams; Eight Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Six Step-Grandchildren; Seven Step-Great-Grandchildren. A special thank you to the Wednesday Gracie's Lunch and Thursday night supper buddies, all the friends who came to visit, to Linda, Willa, Carla & Chris our Hospice team, to care givers Nell & Jean. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2007, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, with the Funeral service at 3:00 PM, with Rev. J.C. Greenwell and Rev.
