Clyde S. Henninger, Jr.

Clyde Samuel Henninger Jr., age 76 of Friendsville, passed away Oct 27, 2009. He was born in Abington, VA and was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps. He received 3 purples hearts for action in the Korean Conflict. Clyde was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and had a career of many years in the transportation industry with Robinson Freight Lines, V.A.A.P. and Carrier Corp. He was an avid pilot, sailor, and outdoorsman. Preceded in death by: parents, Clyde & Elizabeth Henninger; Sister, Betty Henninger Walker. Survivors include: Wife, Hazel Henninger; Son, Stuart Henninger & wife Nancy of Tampa, FL; Step-daughters, Starlingale Shelton & husband Darrell Shelton and Seco Anderson & husband Rick Anderson; Sisters, Sue Pegues of Bowling Green, KY and Hope Mila of Atlanta, GA; Brother, Bill Henninger of Chattanooga, TN; 8 Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews. Family and friends will assemble at 9:30 AM, Friday, October 30, 2009 at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville for the graveside service and interment with Rev.
