Clinton Whitehead

Whitehead, Clinton age 78, formerly of Maryville, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Luther and Lizzie Keller Whitehead. He was a Baptist and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, serving aboard the U.S.S. Klondike. He was retired from General Motors in Chicago, Illinois and made his home in Starkville, MS. Survivors include his wife, Louise of Starkville, MS; daughter, Barbara Lynn Whitehead of Maryville, TN; son, John David Whitehead of Maryville, TN, and Michael Thomas and wife Margie of Starkville, MS; sister, Loreda Potter of Maryville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Roberta Thomas, Anna Lee Whitehead, Elizabeth Whitehead, Bryan Whitehead, and Josh Whitehead. The funeral service will be at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary. The interment will follow at Old Piney Cemetery.
