Clifford Calvin Tilson

Clifford C. Tilson age 79 of Maryville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Clover Hill Senior Living. He was a longtime Deacon at Piney Grove Baptist Church and Madison Avenue Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and retired from the US Air Force Reserve as a Master Chief at McGhee Tyson Airbase. Clifford enjoyed serving his church and community, fishing and hunting. He was known for his gracious, kind, and humble spirit. Preceded in death by: Son, Mark Christian Tilson; Parents, Davie & Louie Tilson. Survivors include: Wife of 54 years, Charlotte Tilson; Son & Daughter-in-law, Joel & LuAnne Tilson; Daughter, Sharon Moore; Grandchildren, Adam Tilson & Anna, Tyler Tilson, Jamie Morton & Sawyer, Seth Moore, and Ethan Moore; Brother & Sister-in-law, Paul & Mary Tilson; Sisters, Margie Arnold and Mary Ann Summey; several nieces and nephews.
