Rev. Clifford “Gene�? Eugene Gann age 88 of Louisville passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a Pastor for over 61 years in churches in Sevier and Blount Counties. Gene was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. He was a Disabled World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army. In the D-Day Invasion he stormed the beach of Normandy and was wounded two weeks after. Preceded in death by: Parents, Mode & Gladys Gann; Brother, Leon Gann; Niece, Gail Lawson; Son-in-law, Joe Worley. Survivors include: Wife of 65 years, Dr. Louise Hardin Gann; Daughters, Brenda Worley and Jan Headrick & husband JR; Four Grandchildren; Five Great-Grandchildren; Brother & Sister-in-law, Raymond (Bud) & Margaret Gann; Sisters, Aileen Loveday and Rosaleen Lawson; Special friend, Junior Blair; Special pet, Sweetie; several nieces and nephews; many church friends here and abroad. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Madison Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Cummings and Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Madison Avenue Baptist Church for India Mission Fund, 1918 Madison Ave. Maryville, TN 37804. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 5:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Smith West Chapel and from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
