Cletus E. Chuck Tipton

Cletus E. "Chuck" Tipton Jr.; age 58, of Maryville, went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly Saturday, June 6, 2009 at his home. He was employed with Path Group Biomedical Laboratories of Knoxville and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM and had a lifelong passion for helping youth. He was a published poet and songwriter. He was preceded in death by his Father, Cletus E. Tipton Sr.; Grandparents, Lawrence H. Sr. and Mary Jane Marine and Mart and Elsie Tipton; Best Friend, Mark Ellis, and special favorite pet dog Bandit. He is survived by his Mother, Beatrice Marine Tipton of Maryville; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Debby and Mike Harmon, and Leesa and Jim Everman, all of Maryville; Nieces, Heather Anderson and spouse, Todd, Lucille Everman, and Alexis Everman; Great-nephew, Thomas Michael Anderson; Special and Best Friend, Steve Merritt of Maryville; Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends, to numerous to name. A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. Gerald Smelcer officiating. Entombment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel.
