Clarence Edward Thompson

Clarence Edward Thompson age 64 passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in Fort Mill, South Carolina. He was a lifelong resident of Maryville and moved to Fort Mill in 2000. In high school Clarence enjoyed football and went on to serve in the U.S. Army Artillery Division in the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed car restoration. He was preceded in death by his father Hubert Thompson, brother Harold Thompson. Survivors include; son and daughter-in-law Billy and Kaci Thompson of Maryville, son Dustin Thompson of Fort Mill, SC., grandchildren Blair and Carolyn Thompson of Maryville, mother Tina Thompson of Maryville, brother Jimmy Thompson of Louisville, brother and sister-in-law Billy and Georgiana Thompson of Maryville, sister-in-law, Deloris Thompson, nieces and nephews Tammy Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Brandi Peters, Shay Thompson, Angel Thompson, Kathy Wilson, Crystal Dougharty, Theresa Conners, Donna Rhodes, Darlene Hodson "Good Buddy", and Gail Werd "Best of Friends." Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm Friday September 14, 2012 at Smith Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Brad Bryant officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 am Saturday September 15, 2012 at Sherwood memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
