Clarence James “Jim” Robbins Jr.,age 88 of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was a member of Six Mile Baptist Church. He retired from Bellsouth after 41 years of service. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a long-time volunteer at the Chilhowee Baptist Center. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Robbins. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Evonne Robbins; sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Jeannie Robbins and Brent and Lisa Robbins; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Gary Best; Seven grandchildren and Five great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Bobbie Robbins. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rick Myers officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
