Clarence Adamson III, age 58, of Maryville passed away unexpectedly at home on December 9, 2024. Clarence was born on October 16,1966 in Murfreesboro, TN but spent his early years in Trussville, Alabama. After working in manufacturing for twenty-two years, he decided to change careers and became a barber. He established Big C’s Barbershop in Oak Ridge, TN in 2015. Big C’s Barbershop went on to win several awards for best barbershop in Oak Ridge. Clarence was a committed follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Foothills Church. Clarence was also a passionate fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and could be found watching the Tide every Saturday in his favorite chair. Clarence will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and the best “Pap” that any little boy could ask for. Clarence is proceeded in death by Clarence Adamson II (Father) and Carolyn Adamson (Mother.) He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 38 years Denise Adamson (Purvis), Daughter Whitney Henderson (Jordan Henderson), Daughter Katelyn Kutscherousky (Chance Kutscherousky), Grandson Jackson Henderson, Sister Missy Hall, Beloved Niece Emily Baker (Hall), and numerous other beloved family members and close friends. Receiving of friends will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, located at 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37803, on Friday December 13th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in honor of Clarence to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
