Clara Jo Blankenbeckler Love

October 17, 1929 — May 21, 2011

Clara Jo Blankenbeckler Love went home on Saturday, May 21 to be with her Lord and Savior. She grew up in East Maryville Baptist Church and was a long time member of Everett Hills Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ellen Blankenbeckler also sister Ann Roberts. She is survived by daughter and son-in law, Susan and Timothy Johnson of Maryville. Grandchildren, Stephanie and Dimitri Exintadekas of Kentucky, Heather and Jeremy Fraser of Knoxville, Lindsay Easter, Derrick Easter of Maryville, great grandchildren Irisa and Adrian Exintadekas of Kentucky, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Betty Ann Blankenbeckler of Knoxville, along with several nieces and nephews. There are many special friends that have been such a blessing during her time of illness. A special thanks to Dr Matthew McCarty, Jenny and staff for the wonderful care given and the Blount Memorial Hospice group for their loving care. Clara had a wonderful love of life that she enjoyed with her family and friends. A smiling face and a funny story were so much apart of her joyful approach to living. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a good friend to many, and will be missed. Receiving of friends will be 5 to 7 pm on Monday, May 23 at the Smith Funeral & Cremation Service in Maryville. A celebration of life service following at 7 pm with, Pastor Gomez Martin officiating. Interment will be at 10 am on Tuesday , May 24 at the Grandview Mausoleum in Maryville. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to Palliative Care and Hospice Fund, c/o Blount Memorial Foundation, 907 East Lamar Alexander Parkway of Maryville, TN 37804.
