Chauncey Parks age 69 of Alcoa, was called home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimers. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank Alfred & Betty Lou Parks; step-mother, Ruby Windstead; sister, Sandra. He was employed by Alcoa Aluminum Company for 39 years and was a member of the Local 309 Steel Workers Union. He was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Parks; son, Chauncey Franklyn; daughters & son-in-law, April Lou-Ann Parks and Jerry Parton, Leigha Lauralie Parks and fiance' L.J. Duncan; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; 3 sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. John Ingram, the staff of Blount Memorial Hospital, Morning View Rehabilitation Center and Maryville Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care of Chauncey during his battle with Alzheimers. The family & friends will assemble at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Grandview Mausoleum for graveside service & entombment with Rev. Jack Hitch officiating and full military honors.
