Charlotte Shields Howard, a gracious, caring, Christian woman passed away on July 12, 2017 at the age of 77. She was born on September 23, 1939. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Houston & Dorothy Shields, and Brothers, Mack, Jack, Eddie, & Leonard. Charlotte graduated from Everett High School Class of 1958. She moved to Southern California and lived there for thirty years. In California she was employed by General Telephone Company as a purchasing agent. However, her Smoky Mountains called her back in 1989 which she has enjoyed on a daily basis from the Howard back porch. She enjoyed going on cruises, and making many trips to California and Minnesota for grandchildren weddings and other special occasions. She was a very talented artist which was expressed through her oil and ceramic paintings and the many beautiful hand stitched quilts that each family member and many friends have received over the years. She was a member of Foothills Quilting Guild and Smoky Mountain Quilting Guild. She was a member of The Fairview United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending The Sparkplug Sunday school class. She is survived by: Husband, Tom Howard; Daughter, Pam (Dan) Stijovich, Daughter, Linda (Shawn) McKean; Son, Eddie (Francis) Rowland; Son, Thomas (Cheri’) Howard; Son, David Howard; Adopted Daughter, Tracy Rogers; 15 Grandchildren including one Adopted Granddaughter, Dena Clinton; 11 Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 AM, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Fairview United Methodist Church Remedy Campus. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM with Rev.
