Charlie Mae (Caughorn) Tipton age 84 of Maryville, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Morning View Transitional Care Center. She worked for Kroger for 28 years. Charlie was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Parents, Luther & Lucy Caughorn; Brother, Luther Caughorn Jr.; Sister, Elizabeth Proctor. Survivors include: Husband, Carl Edward Tipton; Son & Daughter-in-law, William (Eddie) & Rhonda Tipton; Daughter, Brenda Darby; Daughter & Son-in-law, Janice & Roger Vance; Grandchildren, Donna Clark, Brandi Slaton, Ashley Daves, Lucas Tipton, and Alicia Hilger; Great-Grandchildren, Amber Clark, Brooklyn Slaton, Colton Hilger, Ella Tipton, Dosson Daves, Brennan Slaton, Mason Hilger, and Luke Daves; Brother, Carl Edward Caughorn; Sisters, Mary Helton, Reva Bales, Shirley Whitehead, and Diane Childress.
