Charles Blake Wear age 82 of Maryville passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 at Colonial Hills Healthcare Center. He was a member and Deacon of Grandview Baptist Church for over 50 years. He retired from ALCOA after 45 years of service and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during World War II serving as Military Security during the Nuremberg Trials. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include: Wife of 61 years, Farrah Wear; Son & Daughter-in-law, David & Sherri Wear of Maryville; Daughter, Pat Webb of Maryville; Grandchildren, Allison & Husband Josh Bennett, and Jackson Blake Wear; Great-Grandchildren, Jordan Hill, Joshua & Madison Bennett; Step Grandchildren, Michael & wife Jessica Welch; Step Great-Grandchildren, Macie, Lilly, and Blake Welch; Former Daughter-in-law, Sharon Wear; Sisters, Beatrice Jolliff & husband Bruce of Knoxville and Villa Mason of Portland, OR; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Monday, June 30, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
