Charles Richard (Rich) Thompson age 73 of Maryville passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the family home. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville, retired Accountant for the US Government, graduate of East Tennessee State University, and a Veteran of the United States Army. Preceded in death by: Father, Wells G. Thompson. Survivors include: Wife, Darleen R. Thompson; Sons & Daughters-in-law, Tony & Jennifer Thompson and Ted & Laura Thompson; Grandchildren, Tony, Addie, & Jack; Mother, Opal A. Thompson; Sister, Linda Thompson. Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Larry Carroll and Rev. Brenda Carroll officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 24, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery.
